Pixelready is one free calculator for understanding how image dimensions, print size and placement affect effective pixels per inch.

It is useful when a landscape photo must fit a portrait frame, a print service requests a particular size, or you want to compare a crop with borders before opening an image editor.

A small, transparent model

The method is geometric and the assumptions are visible. You choose the PPI comparison target. The result does not use an image-quality score, artificial enhancement or a blanket good/bad threshold.

The calculator runs in your browser without an account, image upload or required contact. Its application does not save inputs to browser storage. Copying or downloading a plan is optional.

Publisher identification is prepared for possible future advertising. This release has no active advertising, consent-management or analytics loader. Identification alone does not establish approval, measurement, ads serving or earnings. Any host-specific service setup requires an updated notice.
